At the Jive and Wail venue in Maplewood, these two professional piano players take the stage each night on two baby grand pianos performing favorite hits from every era imaginable. They can't wait to see you take the spotlight for your very own “Showtime" to dance, sing, and have a great time with the audience!

Melissa Neels Band
Melissa Neels was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She started to play guitar at age 13 and met Bonnie Raitt at age 15, which changed her life. She knew then, that music was something she wanted to pursue. She formed the Melissa Neels Band in 2000. The music is a blend of blues-rock, songs include cover tunes and original music written by Melissa. Being one of the only female lead guitar players in St. Louis her guitar style is uniquely her own, along with her lead vocals and song writing. She’s played the St. Louis Big Muddy Blues festival four years in a row, Sparta Il. Blues festival two years, Blues on the Mississippi in J.B. park, opened for Chuck Berry at Blueberry Hill, opened for Anthony Gomes, and is performing at the Whitaker Musical Festival in the Missouri Botanical Gardens.

The Jazz St. Louis All Stars
The Jazz St. Louis All-Stars is a band consisting of some of the top high school musicians in the St. louis metropolitan area. The band, sponsored by THF Realty is a product of Jazz St. Louis, the non-profit group that books the Jazz at the bistro season and also promotes educational outreach opportunities throughout the metro area, conducts open auditions for membership in the All-Star band every May. Those students selected for the band receive weekly instruction from the area's finest educators, private lesson opportunities with Jazz at the Bistro artists, free admittance to Jazz at the Bistro shows, countless performance opportunities, including a weekend at Jazz at the Bistro as part of the Spotlight Series, and the opportunity to work with artists such as Christian McBride, the Yellowjackets, Pat Martino, The Bad Plus, Terell Stafford, Cyrus Chestnut and many more...

Kevin Bilchik
“I was a writer first. I didn’t know I wanted to sing until I started putting my words to music,” says Bilchik, of St. Louis, Missouri. Blending rock and contemporary folk, his words and music offer a personal perspective with wide appeal.
A chance meeting in a St. Louis guitar shop jump-started Kevin’s official music career. “The people I met that day are still some of my best friends, collaborators and critics,” he says. “And I still look at every day as another chance to pick up my guitar and see what happens.” Kevin currently performs as a solo artist and with his band.

Kim Massie
Kim serves up a platter of Jazz & Blues desserts with sweet sassy and soulful sounds. She is proud to have shared the stage with the St. Louis Blues Greats of Oliver Sain, Johnny Johnson, Bennie Smith and Grammy Rock star, Cindy Lauper.
In '06 Kim opened for Grammy winner, India Arie. A gifted vocalist, musical actress and corporate commercial artist, Kim has won numerous St. Louis musical awards and acclaim including "Ain't Nothing But the Blues" and "Damn Yankees". Her touring includes Hungary, the US between the West Coast and Midwest.

Stuart Johnson
The Stuart Johnson Trio plays jazz classics, rock oldies, and original songs in a decidely different and distinctive style, based on the unique finger-picking interpretations of guitar player and singer, Stuart Johnson. Scott Engel on drums, and Michael Prokopf on acoustic and electric bass make up the rest of this trio. These are musicians who have a solid, strong background in almost every genre of musical performance, and all are well respected in the musical community. Zeda’s Beat Box
Zeda’s Beat Box is a St. Louis based rock band that mixes Jewish musical traditions with reggae and dance rock. Zeda’s Beat Box was formed in January of 2007 by Dave Simon, the founder of Dave Simon's Rock School. All of the music was written by Simon and includes original English text as well as Hebrew text from the Kabbalat Shabbat service. The band also includes four teenagers from Rock School’s All-Star program.
Zeda’s Beat Box began performing in synagogues in 2007 but their edgy soulful sound has also found a home in the local club scene. Simon began writing these new compositions in December of 2006 under the guidance of Rabbi Carnie Shalom Rose, Rabbi Dr. Neal Rose, and Cantorial Soloist Sharon Nathanson of congregation B’nai Amoona. www.myspace.com/zedasbeatbox
